Amitek CMP-78 is a surface-conditioning solution that strengthens cement surfaces before waterproofing. It penetrates and consolidates weak or porous substrates, helping create a suitable base for subsequent membrane adhesion.
By sealing capillary pores and surface defects, CMP-78 helps reduce the chances of future seepage. It supports improved bonding, repair durability and the service life of the waterproofing system.
For contractors and applicators, conditioning the substrate is an important part of achieving consistent waterproofing performance and reducing avoidable failures and rework.

Verified system application
CMP-78 in the HWR-22 treatment.
The following ratio and instructions apply specifically to the combined HWR-22 system, as stated in the supplied HWR-22 TDS. They are not standalone CMP-78 instructions.
- Preparation: Use a clean, dry substrate free from loose dirt, oils, grease or paint.
- Application: Apply the combined treatment by brush, roller or low-pressure spray.
- Coats: Apply two coats wet-on-wet; the second coat goes on while the first is still wet.
- Curing: Allow at least 24 hours of natural curing under sunlight. Avoid traffic or washing for at least 48 hours.
For standalone CMP-78 use: Confirm dilution, coverage, compatibility, application method and curing requirements with the CMP-78 technical data sheet or Amitek’s technical team before application.
