Amitek Smart Duo Shield Pro Damproof is an acrylic-based elastomeric waterproof membrane coating. Applied as a liquid, it forms a seamless protective layer that helps prevent water ingress and seepage.
Its flexibility and crack-bridging capacity support protection where substrates move, while UV and weathering resistance make it suitable for exposed roofs and terraces.
The specified system combines a primer, three membrane coats and non-woven polyester reinforcement. It offers breathability, abrasion resistance and suitability for foot traffic.

Application guidelines
A reinforced approach to waterproofing.
Follow the preparation, consumption and drying instructions in the technical data sheet.
Prepare and repair
Remove dust and loose particles from new concrete. On old surfaces, remove loose coatings, algae and fungus. Fill existing cracks with Amitek Crack Filler, a paintable acrylic sealant.
Apply the primer
Apply Amitek Smart Duo Shield Damproof Primer at 0.2–0.25 kg/m²/coat, depending on porosity. Allow 2–4 hours drying; the TDS recommends waiting 24 hours if possible.
First coat + reinforcement
Apply Pro Damproof at 0.60–0.65 kg/m². Immediately roll out 50–60 GSM non-woven polyester fabric and use rollers to remove air trapped between layers. Allow 6–8 hours drying (overnight, as described in the TDS).
Second and third coats
Apply the second coat at 0.50–0.55 kg/m². Allow 6–8 hours drying (overnight), then apply the third coat at 0.35–0.40 kg/m². Sprinkle silica on the third coat if a cement or tile overlay is required.
Application conditions: Avoid application below 5°C or above 35°C, and avoid foggy conditions.

Quantity planning: The individual membrane-coat rates total 1.45–1.60 kg/m², excluding primer and fabric. The TDS technical table separately lists 1.2–1.5 kg/m² for multiple coats. Confirm the applicable system consumption with Amitek before ordering; practical consumption depends on the substrate.
